Dr. Balaguer is the Director of Advanced Coronary Bypass Surgery. This is an expert program specialized in treating patients with advanced coronary artery disease and ischemic cardiomyopathy. Most of these patients have heart failure (Ischemic Heart Failure) and their treatment extends beyond the traditional CABG. The Advanced Coronary Program includes procedures such as Off-Pump Bypass Surgery, Coronary Endarterectomy, Trans-myocardial Laser Revascularization, Ventricular Aneurysm repair, Dor procedure, ventricular rupture operations and surgical revascularization supported with devices such as Intra-aortic balloon pump and Impella. Minimally Invasive Coronary Bypass Surgery, Robotic Assisted and Hybrid Revascularization procedures (CABG + Stents) are included in this program.
